Thus Gurbani uses the J HAJOOR while the Pronounciation of Z in Hazoor is from Persian.Both words mean the same..only difference is how we pronounce them...IF its HAJoor..then say it that way. Now adays many people like to be different...and make up their won pronounciations...BUT IF the MEANING chnages..then we have to pronounce it the way its MEANING is indicated and not as it is written...as in SAH...the pronounciation is SHAH...if the emaning indicated is wealthy man/landlord/king/emperor etc and not sah as in breath... SIR Sahan de Sah..is Sir shanahn de shah !! Thats why a shudh Gurbani teacher with adequate knowldege of Gurbani garmmar etc is pre requisite for correct learning of Gurbani..it cannot be self taught. |
