Some say he deserved what happened to him, others feel he should have been kept alive to find out who hired him to carry out this despicable act. Many feel, no one had the right to take anyone's life no matter what.</p><p></p><p>What amazed me is the tranquility of the person who was reciting the Path when this unfortunate incident happened. He was startled for a few seconds but continued reciting the verses, despite the danger from a person who was holding a sword near him.</p><p></p><p>The lines that were being recited at the time of the evening were ਜਿਨ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਜਿਨ ਹਰਿ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਧਿਆਇਆ ਜੀ ਤਿਨ ਕਾ ਭਉ ਸਭੁ ਗਵਾਸੀ - Those who meditate on the Fearless Lord become completely fearless.</p><p></p><p>I couldn't help comparing his tranquility and stance, who was not deterred by a man who was armed, to the reaction of the people who killed an unarmed person. And all the people were in the same place listening to the same divine verses?</p><p></p><p>I wish and pray for the essence of Gurbani to enter into our hearts.
